It was in Bill Fay's song - Time to wake up now - where he sings that it is "time to feed the birds - and hope they feed you too - for you need them, more than they need you." I knew that the line in that song was true, its just that I never knew just how true true was. I love animals, and my wife and I decided we should donate some of our sales from our artworks to the local animal shelter here in Monroe County, Alabama. It was all fine well and good to donate to the shelter. It was great to know that the animals were to feel the benefit of the donations, yet indirectly it set me to thinking that there was more to it than that. Maybe he'd spill out and over into the street somewhere? Well, anyway - it made for an interesting flight of fancy for a fleeting moment or two.
